| Achromatic colors | Having no color to the garments |
| Androgynous style | A dressing in styles that makes it difficult for the viewer to determine the gender of the person |
| box pleat | A flat double pleat made by folding under the fabric on either side of it |
| Flare out | Become flared and widen |
| A line | A dress/ skirt shape that is narrower at the top and gently flaring out to the bottom |
| Draping | The art of creating a dress simply by arranging fabric around a body |
| Fishtail | Slow down by moving the tail sideways |
