A teenager, or teen, is a person between the age of 13 and 19. They are called teenagers because their number of years ends with “teen”. The word “teenager” is often associated with adolescence.
A person begins his teenage at the age of 13, and it ends at the age of 20. 18- and 19-year-olds, in many countries, are teenagers and adults.
