An acrostic is a poem in which the first letter of each line spells a word, or conveys a message. So, here are some acrostic poems for the summer and the winter season.
Acrostic Poems for Summer Season
- Summer is the season when the sunlight peeks from the trees,
Under the blue skies lie the blue seas.
Monarch butterflies fluttering through the air,
My friends and I swimming in the hot weather.
Each summer, we wait for eating ice-creams,
Refreshed and relaxed we all feel! - Sunny days are really the best,
Under the umbrella, we seek the shade.
Month of July marks the beginning of the fun,
Making memories and music in the garden.
Everyone is happy and having the time of their lives,
Really wish these days lasted forever! - Sleeping under the shade of the tree,
Us playing outside all those days,
Melting popsicles and ice-creams,
My life was the best in the summer with my friends.
Even today, I wish I could be that playful child again,
Reminiscing about those days always makes me smile. Summer’s the season when sun is the strongest,
Under blue skies, the days are the longest,
My friend’s and I, like to swim when it sizzles,
My friend’s and I, like the cool, rainy drizzles,
Each summer, each June, I really can’t wait,
Returning to school in September is great.
Sleeping in under the stars of camp,
Making memories while traveling,
Movie time,
Enjoying time with friends,
Relaxing by the pool
Scorching hot sun,
Under the water keeps you cool,
Many friends over the house,
Many days at the beach,
Everyone loves summer vacations,
Ready for the next school year
Acrostic Poems for Winter Season
- Winter is cold but wonderful,
Icy but peaceful.
Noses are always dripping and red,
The days are short as the nights have to come yet.
Every year this season brings a lot of fun and frolic,
Readily we always wait for it to come back again! - Winter began in December but I fell sick,
Iwanted to make a snowman, but it was too late.
Next month Christmas will begin,
The festival of lights and love.
Eggnogs are my favorite part of the tradition,
Really hope this season never comes to an end. - Winter is in December,
In the snow I build a snowman,
Next December is Christmas,
The top of the Christmas tree is colorful,
Eggs at Christmas we eat,
Run in the snow.
- Winter is coming,
Ilike Winter,
Now winter is here,
Time to play outside,
Elves come to town,
Reindeer fly.
- Winter is good,
Ilove Winter,
Now it is icy,
Tonight is snowy,
Elves come out with Santa,
Reindeer run to Santa.
We hope you’ll find these poems helpful while teaching your kids about these two beautiful seasons.
