Adjectives which express numbers are called Numerals. Numeral Adjectives are of three kinds, CARDINAL, ORDINAL and MULTIPLICATIVE.

The Cardinal Adjectives denote how many as one, two, three, four, etc.
The Ordinal Adjectives denote in what order as first, second, third, fourth, etc.
The Multiplicative Adjectives denote how many fold as single, double, triple, etc.

The adjectives cardinal are those which inform us all on name or noun. Remember that adjectives are words that change the noun, giving it a certain kind of quality or character.

What are Cardinal Adjectives?

The cardinal adjective indicates the exact number of the corresponding noun. They are part of a group of numerical adjectives. Examples of key adjectives are 1, 10, 20, 30, 40, etc.

Cardinal adjectives are directly related to numbers which is why they are called cardinal number adjectives.

What are Ordinal Adjectives?

Ordinal adjectives are those that provide information about noun order. Example: first, fifth, tenth, last. Standard adjectives have the function of standardizing, ordering or providing information about the shape of the noun they carry. They belong to the adjective class of a number because they give a numerical feature to the noun they change.
