Adjective Words to Describe Giraffe and Camel

The giraffe is one of the most interesting creatures on earth, it is the tallest land animal on the planet and has the longest neck of any creature.

It comes from Africa and inhabits savannahs, grasslands and forests. Although it has thin legs, it has a very powerful kick that can result in fatal injuries to any animal that tries to prey on it, especially lions, who are more likely to target giraffes than any other animals.

A giraffe would fight other giraffes using its neck rather than its legs, as legs can be fatal and dominance in the giraffe family is only shown using its neck.

The appearance of the giraffe is similar to camels in terms of features such as hooves, tall legs and long tongues, and its body movements are also similar as both animals have 4 long legs.

Giraffes and camels are both herbivorous creatures, but they typically live in different environments. Giraffes mostly inhabit places such as grasslands, savannas, and forests that are less dense, while Camels live in deserts and arid areas.

While some Giraffes are also found in desert environments, such as the Angolan giraffe. Giraffes prefer several trees to feed on, examples of their most preferred trees being the genera Acacia, Commiphora and Terminallia.

A giraffe can eat up to 34 kilograms of food a day. Although a herbivorous creature, giraffes have been seen licking the dried meat off the bones as they pass by the carcass.

When the rainy season comes, food is scarce, so giraffes gather and roam in small groups rather than large ones to gather around the remaining bushes and evergreen trees. Giraffes feed heavily in the first and last hours of the day, between these hours the giraffes stand and ruminate.
