Fragrances are complex and are not easy to define what we smell through our nostrils. We have a problem with vocabulary when describing a sweet smell.
We may use words like ‘nice’ or ‘sweet’ but which are not very clear and are our own opinion.
Instead, what is needed is something like a ‘perfumed tongue’ that is as purposeful and neutral as possible.
Considering that our nose can absorb billions of different ingredients, it shows how difficult the definitions of a fragrance can be, for anyone.
