The narrower concept is human capital, the knowledge and skills which is individually commanded. Similar terms include workforce, employees, labor, personnel, associate or just people.
A human-resources department (HR department) of any company interests in human resource management, and oversee the various aspects of employment, such as business or ethical compliance with labor and employment standards, employee benefits, maintaining employee files with supporting documents for future reference, and some aspects of recruitment.
As a Human Resources specialist who needs to use English as a major language, it is primary importance to know certain HR vocabulary as it is an essential element of daily work, whether it is for presentations, meetings or emails.
