Glass is a solid and transparent material used in many applications in our daily lives. Glass is made from natural and synthetic materials (sand, soda ash and limestone) that dissolve at very high temperatures to create something new glass. At high temperatures glass is similar in structure to liquid, but at ambient temperatures it acts as a solid. As a result, glass can be poured, sprayed, compressed and molded into many shapes.
Melting glass requires two immature materials: different types of sand and recycled glass. These materials are mixed together, charged in a furnace at a melting point of about 1500 ° C to form molten glass. The molten glass is then removed from the furnace to form and then cooled.
