We will work on the medical vocabulary with its meaning.
Medicine, as we all know is a very noble profession and the medical professionals they specialize in their field of interests.
It is very interesting to note that the terminology remains different to some if we correlate with medicine specialization. Now if it comes to the use of vocabulary that remains no change as the words used is not always scientific – related to field specialization in particular.
Medical Vocabulary Words
So, let us work on the Medical vocabulary with their specific meaning:

prevalence | the quality of being widespread |
febrile | of or relating to or characterized by fever |
dull | blunted in responsiveness or sensibility |
allergy | hypersensitive immunological reaction to some substance |
abnormal | not typical or usual or regular |
immune | of the condition in which an organism can resist disease |
emergency | a sudden unforeseen crisis that requires immediate action |
amnesia | partial or total loss of memory |
memory | the cognitive process whereby past experience is remembered |
amputate | remove surgically |
limb | one of the jointed appendages of an animal |
infection | the invasion of the body by pathogenic microorganisms |
anemia | a deficiency of red blood cells |
anemic | relating to or having a deficiency of red blood cells |
swollen | having an exaggerated sense of self-importance |
asthma | respiratory disorder characterized by wheezing |
wound | an injury to living tissue |
lump | a compact mass |
brace | a support that steadies or strengthens something else |
injured | harmed |
breech | opening in the barrel of a gun where bullets can be loaded |
bruise | a small injury that results in discoloration |
procedure | a particular course of action intended to achieve a result |
incision | the cutting of or into body tissues or organs |
resuscitation | reviving a person and returning them to consciousness |
coroner | an official who investigates death not due to natural causes |
dementia | mental deterioration of organic or functional origin |
mental | involving the mind or an intellectual process |
suffering | feelings of mental or physical pain |
fatal | bringing death |
prescription | the action of issuing authoritative rules or directions |
influenza | an acute febrile highly contagious viral disease |
respiratory | pertaining to the act of breathing |
fracture | breaking of hard tissue such as bone |
germ | a structure from which tissue can develop into an organism |
organism | a living thing that can act or function independently |
ward | a person who is under the protection of another |
hive | a structure that provides a natural habitation for bees |
rash | imprudently incurring risk |
abdomen | the region of the body between the thorax and the pelvis |
prominence | something that projects from its surroundings |
navel | a scar where the umbilical cord was attached |
sprain | twist suddenly so as to wrench |
intense | extremely sharp |
allow | make it possible for something to happen |
examine | observe, check out, and look over carefully or inspect |
prenatal | occurring or existing before birth |
