Shopping is the activity in which a customer browses for available goods or services delivered by one or more vendors for the purpose of purchasing the right option for them.
Now let us work on types of shopping:-
So, we are able to identify seven types of shopping:
- Impulse buyer – The impulse shopper is a master at making sure purchases they know they don’t need to make. A dynamic consumer makes quick decisions.
- Educated shopper – The shopper knows exactly what they want and is also likely to get the best price for the product you want. An educated shopper tends to ask the lowest price from their favorite seller, because they have high hopes that they have enough experience to outperform sellers in all aspects of the product.
- Bargain hunter – This type of shopper is an expert at finding the best deals and can often build a reputation among friends and family like being able to get things at incredibly low prices.
- Negotiator – No matter what the price tag says to negotiator, you want to pay less. Whether it’s about getting the lowest price or it’s about the joy of negotiating and winning, this buyer is one of the sellers who isn’t happy to get into them.
- Brand loyalist – It’s not just brands though; some loyalists aren’t fussed on brand but instead pledge their loyalty to a particular store.
- Browser – The shopper enjoys shopping but comes up with a little idea of ??what they really want. They can be persuaded by eye-catching images and clear benefits.
- Practical shopper – Knowing what kind of shopper you are can help you stop and think about why you want to buy something, and when you make the right decision to buy.

department store | a large shop that sells different types of items in different areas or departments of the store |

grocery | shop that sells groceries (the collective term for items of food sold in a grocery or supermarket) |
green grocer | person or shop that sells fresh fruit and vegetables |
butcher | person or shop that sells fresh meat |
bakery | shop that sells fresh bread and cakes |
pharmacy | shop that sells medicines |
chemist | sells medicines and toiletries |
newsagent | shop that sells newspapers and magazines |
pet shop | shop that sells food and other items for dogs, cats and other pets and sometimes small pets as well |

shopping mall | a large enclosed shopping area from which traffic is excluded |
shopping centre | a large building or a group of buildings containing lots of different stores, often build away from town centres |
second hand | something that is for sale but has been used before |
genuine | what it is meant to be, not fake |
luxury | something expensive that you do not need but you buy for pleasure or comfort |
brand name | products made by a well-known company |
trolley | a large container with wheels that you use to put products in, especially in a supermarket |
over priced | to cost more than you think it is worth |
haggle | to negotiate the cost of an item |
inexpensive | something that does not cost a lot of money |
slash prices | to reduce prices a great deal |
price tag | a label that states the price of an item |
discount | a reduction in the price of something |
sale | a period during which a shop sells goods at reduced prices |
